We are proud to announce that our second Hyperion release "Regnart: Missa Super Oeniades Nymphae" has won an ORF Pasticcio Award. The ORF is Austria's national broadcasting body and awards Pasticcio prizes in conjunction with the culture magazine Falter every month.
Welcome to Cinquecento's website. We are in the process of updating many sections, so please do check back soon. The updates include: a new photo section, reviews and information about our latest CD "Philippe de Monte: Missa " Ultimi Miei Sospiri" (CDA67658 Hyperion), a new audio section, an overhauled repertoire section.
We have just recorded our fourth CD for Hyperion Records, which should be released some time towards the start of 2009. Jacobus Vaet is the focus this time (5 of his motets featured on our first release "Music for the Court of Maximilian II") including the Missa "Ego flos campi", based on the well-known motet by Clemens Non Papa.
We have also recently finished our second international concert engagement singing a programme of Habsburg music over three concerts in the beautiful town of Muri in Switzerland.
