We are thrilled to announce the release of our seventh disc with Hyperion Records! This time we explore the world of Josquin Des Prez and his legacy, with a focus on the mesmeric and beautiful six voice "Requiem" mass by Jean Richafort (c1480 - after 1547) - recorded here for the first time with one male voice per part. This Missa pro defunctis is an extraordinary construction with the composer quoting both from Josquin's "Nymphes, nappés" and "Faulte d'argent" in an impressive homage to the revered master.

We are delighted to announce that Cinquecento has been awarded the German Radio Prize for Outstanding Promise. The prize follows a performance we gave on August 20th on the opening night of the Musikfest in Bremen. On 11th September we attended the award ceremony in Bremen town hall, performing a couple of pieces in the company of Prof. Thomas Albert (Director of Musikfest Bremen) and the winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award the luminous pianist Helene Grimaud!

We are pleased to announce that our latest CD, Vaet: Missa Ego flos campi, has been chosen by Gramophone Magazine as one of its top ten CDs for the month of May.

We are proud to announce that our second Hyperion release "Regnart: Missa Super Oeniades Nymphae" has won an ORF Pasticcio Award. The ORF is Austria's national broadcasting body and awards Pasticcio prizes in conjunction with the culture magazine Falter every month.
